A great fight night at the Seminole Hard Rock sported 2 major boxing matches. Undefeated WBC welterweight champion, Andre Berto won a 12 round unanimous decision over IBF junior welterweight champion, Juan Urango. A great fight to watch. Prior, junioe middle-weight contender, Alfredo Angulo took on former welterweight champion, Kermit Cintron. Cintron won a 12 round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Angulo.

Saturday night, May 30, 2009 at the beautiful Seminole Hard Rock and Hotel and Casino, the Berto vs. Urango – World Title Fight will take place. In this evenings feature bout, the contenders are; undefeated welterweight titleholder Andre Berto (24-0, 19 KOs). Andre has devastating knockout power with exceptional boxing skills and dynamic persona. The 25-year-old is a native of Winter Haven, Fla. defeated veteran Steve Forbes in late 2008, following with a significant victory over former welterweight champ Luis Collazo in a battle last January.

Juan Urango (21-1-1, 16 KOs), originally hails from Colombia, now resides in Miami, is a powerful, aggressive puncher. This two-time junior welterweight titleholder has only one career defeat, a decision loss at the hands of Ricky Hatton in 2007. Now, the 28-year-old Urango looks to utilize his quick release jab as he steps up in weight class to try and blemish Berto’s perfect record in this scheduled 12-round bout.

The event will be covered live by HBO.
